New Zealand Fashion Week - What's on for ethical fashion?

While we wait (im)patiently for all fashion to be ethical and sustainable, it's very exciting to note that there are a few great ethical fashion events during this year's New Zealand Fashion Week, and tickets are still available!

Tuesday 28th August 7.30am - Outliv Presents Let's Get Ethical panel & networking breakfast - Featuring Carolyn Enting; Editor of Good Magazine, Kate Hall; Sustainable Living & Ethical Fashion Blogger at Ethically Kate, Kerith McKenzie-Brown; Founder of Oki For All, Laurie Foon; Central Coordinator for Sustainable Business Network, Amy Conlon; Founder of Outliv

Friday 31st August 10:00am - The future of fashion: In conversation with NZ's fashion experts - Featuring footwear designer Kathryn Wilson, Augustine's designer and co-founder Kelly Coe, veteran designer and head judge of iD Dunedin Fashion Week Tanya Carlson, Maggie Marilyn's designer and founder Maggie Hewitt, director and founder of Showroom 22 Murray Bevan and Whitecliffe College of Art and Design's HOD fashion design Belinda Watt.

Saturday 1st September 9.30am - Y-Our Hands Workshop with Rachel Mills & Maeve Woodhouse - With all the tools and materials provided, you will go away with the know-how to have either a single-strap tote bag to stroll to the weekend market with, or an envelope wallet to keep safe your cards and small change. Following sustainable business practices, each product will be made from reclaimed materials donated by local brands Wynn Hamlyn, Kate Sylvester and Miss Crabb.

Sunday 2nd September 1.00pm - Good Magazine Sustainability Show - Featuring WE-AR, Ovna Ovich, Mane Project, Outliv, Grumpysuns, Aurai Swimwear and Tonic & Cloth.

Sunday 2nd September 4.00pm - Mercy Hospice Runway Show - Mercy Hospice shops will give you the opportunity to see what shopping in an op-shop really looks like - showcasing looks for all the family including children, men, woman with a few familiar faces along the way

We're only involved as spectators this year but very excited! So will we see you there?

xx Suzie
